Welcome to Monroe Scrap Material, Inc. Our facility is located at 1 Hornady Drive in Monroeville, Alabama. We serve the recycling needs of Monroe County and Southwest Alabama. We offer a roll-off container service for your industrial and commercial metal, trash disposal, and storage needs. 

Monroe Scrap Material, Inc. is a family owned recycling facility located in Monroeville, AL. Our family has been in the business since the 1920's. It all began in 1925 when "Pink" Jones opened Andalusia Hide and Junk. He bought and sold animal hides and scrap metal.

In 1964, Pink's grandsons, Brown and Gillis Jones, opened Monroe Scrap Material. Brown and Gillis built the business over many years before Brown's retirement. Gillis then operated the yard with his daughter, Sharon, and son-in-law, Butch Oglesby. In the late 90's Gillis retired and the business was purchased by Butch and Sharon. A family affair since the begining, their son Joseph continues the family tradition.
