Metalcorp NZ Ltd was established in 1989 and still operates as a family owned business from two branches within the South Island. During our 20 year history, we have earned a solid reputation as a professional recycling facility, conducting business with integrity and enthusiasm whilst providing competitive pricing for both our domestic and commercial customers.The primary function at Metalcorp NZ Ltd is the collection and processing of ferrous and non ferrous metals. The recovery of scrap metals is an integral part of the recycling loop, and helps to conserve our country’s valuable natural resources. Scrap metal is an especially unique resource in that when it is recovered and recycled appropriately it has an almost never ending life cycle!

At Metalcorp NZ Ltd we work to convert scrap metals into the raw materials that other industries require to produce new products.We operate modern, efficient and professional scrap metal recycling yards that supply to both domestic and international markets. As long term members of the Scrap Metal Recycling Association of New Zealand we are committed to raising the standards within our industry and educating as to the important role that scrap metal recycling plays in helping to preserve our environment. Our friendly staff are highly skilled, and our combined experience allow us to ensure that the job is done right the first time, whilst offering our customers the assurance of stability, honesty and all the benefits of an on going service.

In Yard

Many of our customers opt to bring their metals directly into one of our branches, where they are weighed and unloaded for you by one of our friendly staff. Our yards are fully equipped with electronic and certified scales, as well as excavators and forklifts to ensure quick and effortless unloading. Customers who present photo identification can be paid out in cash for their metals on the spot, and we even have a complementary lolly jar to help keep children of all ages happy while you wait!

Collection & Bin Services

We offer a wide range of bins for both domestic and commercial use, whether it is for a one off collection or a regular service. Generally there is no charge for placement of our bins, however please contact our office if you are interested in a bin service so that we can discuss your needs with you.For larger collections, such as farm and commercial sites, we operate a fleet of trucks which are equipped with hiab cranes. This enables us to uplift and transport large items of scrap, providing a unique and convenient service for our customers.
