Menten Metaal VOF in Sittard has been an established wholesaler in Ferrous and non-ferrous metals since 1970. The Metal Company was founded in 1970 by Mr. H. Menten. The Metal Company, which had a modest image in the early 1970s with a small yard and clientele, quickly gained a good status for buying and selling metals and scrap iron. During the 1970s and 1980s, Mr. H. Menten gained a lot of knowledge and experience in this trade, so business went very well. The clientele grew and the metal company quickly became a household name in the Sittard-Geleen region and became an important item in the recycling industry. The yard also received a facelift because it was given an additional plot of land that the company needed. In the 1990s, the company made great strides by being active nationally and internationally. Also came Mr. H. Menten's son in the picture, W. Menten, who wanted to contribute to the company, despite his young age, 21 years, he quickly mastered the skills and joined his father in the company.
