MB Metals is a well known provider of steel products into the International Steel Industry. When MB Metals was formed in 1998 by Mark, Marvin and Martin Brashem, its primary objective was to supply ferrous steel scrap and secondary steel products to Asian steel mills, foundries, secondary re-processors and steel distributors. As a result of consistent quality and competitive pricing MB Metals has successfully grown into a global provider of scrap and steel materials providing numerous grades of ferrous melting scrap to customers throughout Asia.
In 2000, to compliment the steel scrap export business, MB Metals began importing new steel pipe and tubing. The product currently originates from several different mills in Asia that are prequalified, visited regularly and manufacture to US inch and quality standards. A full line inventory of pipe and tubing is warehoused in Kent, Washington and mill direct delivery can be provided to any location in North America.
MB Metals supplies customers in numerous Asian markets with consistent high quality steel scrap and secondary steel products for re-melting, re-rolling, re-use and other applications. This scrap is produced by reliable and responsible scrap processing facilities and is shipped in steamship containers directly to the customers. Produced to ISRI and customer specifications. Melting products include HMS, shredder scrap, unprepared scrap, cast iron, and other alloy ferrous items such as scrap mill rolls, manganese scrap, H-13 and other tool steels, high chrome and white iron.
In addition to melting products MB Metals regularly supplies secondary and reusable steel products. These products are provided in various forms with specifications for particular applications. This list includes, but is not limited to Scrap Rail – 66 to 100 lb. and 110 lb and heavier, full length and cut to re-rolling lengths, used beams, plates, and cobble plates. Secondary electrical steel laminations are supplied in both coil and sheet forms.
Products meet ISRI specifications as required. For shipments to China, we use our own AQSIQ license and also provide CCIC certification. Additionally, we provide qualified inspection certificates for shipments to India.
In order to be a premier supplier of pipe and tubing, MB Metals has established strong relationships with ERW pipe and tubing mills in several different countries, including the US. To ensure a consistent supply chain, MB Metals regularly visits the mills to insure the steel quality meets or exceeds ASTM specifications and that the mill maintains BMP’s (Best Manufacturing Processes). Customers can be confident that the pipe and tubing supplied by MB Metals always meets or exceeds their expectations.
