M82 Recycling, LLC is a family owned and operated full metal recycling facility that accepts all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. In addition to meeting the community’s metal recycling needs; the company also offers a variety of other services including: used auto sales with available buy here pay here financing available upon approval, a pull your own parts yard, tire services, and an onsite propane filling station.

Steven A Zimmerman started the legacy of M82 in 1992 when he purchased a small junkyard in Pierson MI. A young man in his 20’s determined to succeed; he began selling vehicles and vehicle parts. Soon after, he met and married Kris and they began running and growing the business together. In 2003, the couple purchased M82 Auto, west of Howard City. The property was initially purchased as another junkyard with the expectation of expanding their current parts/vehicle business. With the new property came a new vision and M82 Recycling was born in 2006; by this time the children were older and began working for their parents. Over the past 12 years the company has continued to grow through the diligence and hard work of the Zimmerman family. Steve passed unexpectedly in 2016, but his legacy lives on through his wife and children.
