Lone Star purchases all ferrous and nonferrous products from three different sources: individuals looking for an additional source of income, other recycling centers looking for marketing expertise and financial support, and industrial manufacturing companies who generate excess material from production.
Due to maintaining a safe and healthy environment, Lone Star will not accept any hazardous, explosive, or flammable materials. Sealed containers such as gas tanks and fire extinguishers must present an opening to ensure cleanliness. Materials with gas, oil, or refrigerants will not be accepted.
Family-owned and Texas based Gold Metal Recyclers stands today as one of the largest privately owned metals recycling organizations in the United States. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, owners and brothers Kenny and Neil Goldberg founded the company in 1976. From humble beginnings, with three employees – buying and selling aluminum cans on a quarter-acre of land – the company has grown into an international business, and proudly employs over 400 of its greatest friends, and three generations of family.
Today, Gold Metal recycles hundreds of millions of pounds of recyclable material each year, saving enormous volumes of precious natural resources. These materials are purchased from three sources. Individuals looking for additional source of income bring recyclable material in to Gold Metal everyday. Industrial manufacturing companies who generate scrap through fabrication processes utilize Gold Metal’s services to collect their recyclable/excess material. These companies expect excellent customer service through Gold Metal’s expansive fleet of trucks, equipment, and most importantly, experienced team of buyers. The third source of material is generated from other recycling companies who turn to Gold Metal for marketing, financial support, logistics, and expertise. These companies are regional, national, and international.
