Little Big Recycling was founded in 2010 with an efficient and cost effective recycling program for one condominium building.
Over the last five years, we have expanded and are now proud to partner with thousands of Calgarians in an effort to reduce our environmental footprint.
Every year we divert hundreds of thousands of pounds of recyclable material headed for landfills.
Our customizable solutions allow us to work effectively with clients from a variety of housing options - from small townhouse complexes to large apartment buildings.
Our operations are adaptable and able to suit your needs
Do you ever wonder where your recycled items end up or what they will become? With a focus on sustainability many manufacturers are able to use recycled materials for a variety of different products.
Knowing what can and cannot go in the bins will help maximize the benefits of your recycling program. It is important to know that not all plastics can be recycled through a recycling center. The American Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) developed an identification system to identify the materials used in different plastics and to help the recycling sorting process.
CALGARY RECYCLING BYLAWS
Calgary Recycling Bylaws Both multi-family residential and commercial buildings in Calgary are facing new city bylaws requiring that recycling programs be in place. The multi-family recycling bylaw came into effect on February 1, 2016. The commercial recycling bylaw will come into effect on November 1, 2016. Both have specific directives to help ensure that the recycling programs are effective.
