Lion One's tenements on the island of Vanua Levu cover 27,000 hectares of prospective ground in volcanic areas still largely unexplored in the modern era. A thorough exploration survey was carried out on Vanua Levu by Japan International Corporation at the request of the Fiji government in 1995. Portions of that survey focused on the Korotari andesitic complex in the Labasa area, and the caldera of Mount Delaikoro, leading to the establishment of SPL 1467 and 1468. Lion One believes these tenements have the potential to contain epithermal systems similar those on Viti Levu in the known mineralized volcanic centers at Tuvatu, Vatukoula, and Raki Raki.SPL 1467 (Vunimoli) covers 22,000 hectares in the provinces of Macuata and Cakaudrove at the southern edge of the Labasa caldera. The tenement covers an active geothermal area and contains a volcanic-sedimentary sequence intruded by a late-stage intrusion related to the Korotari andesite complex. Gold and copper mineralization in the area related to this multi-stage andesite intrusion and has been observed in andesitic lavas and volcanoclastic rocks, with fault-controlled quartz veins and breccias. A previous geochemical survey covered the Leli's prospect covering a 700m x 200m area identified widespread quartz veins and pyrite. SPL 1468 (Delaikoro) covers 5,489 hectares approximately 20 km from the town of Labasa in the provinces of Macuata and Cakaudrove on the island of Vanua Levu, centered on the volcanic caldera of Mount Delaikoro.
