Landfill Reduction & Recycling was started by Jason Salisbury. The company incorporated in 2011 and began processing construction material in January 2012. Since 2012 the company has continued to grow, expanding the amount of construction material processed and expanding its recycled markets into higher quality end products. In 2016, the company opened a second facility located at the Dane County Landfill as a public/private partnership with the Dane County Solid Waste Division. In the partnership, Landfill Reduction is a long term processor and marketer of end products of the construction materials collected by Dane County.

Landfill Reduction takes pride in C&D recycling. Their knowledge of construction material recycling in terms of regulation, outbound markets, health and safety is second to none in Wisconsin.

As the first, successful, privately held C&D recycler in the state, Landfill Reduction has worked with state regulators on developing the standards and best practices on drywall recycling, C&D Fines for beneficial reuse, reduced cost Owner Financial Responsibility, and Hazardous Material Trainings/Procedures.

Landfill Reduction is the expert in outbound C&D markets in Wisconsin. From traditional markets like wood boiler fuel to highly contaminated 5 gallon buckets, Landfill Reduction consistantly identifies, evaluates, and upgrades outbound commodities to their highest value.

Health and safety of employees and customers are of the utmost importance, especially at an industrial setting like a recycling facility. Landfill Reduction focuses on safety and constantly works to improve their engineering controls, procedures, and training. To help with this, Landfill Reduction has proactively contracted an independent safety consultant and Wis-Con to provide regular training, environmental testing, and safety audits. As a result, Landfill Reduction maintains consistently safe and compliant work environment.
