Company History

Kodiak Metals Recycling is owned by Kodiak Resources, Inc. Kodiak Resources, Inc. was formed in 2009 as a commodities broker in Owensboro, Kentucky. The idea behind our Metals Recycling division was formed in January 2011 when Vice President of Commercial, James Dickinson was on a trip to the Houston area. James and Kodiak Metals Recycling President Craig Lanham and their families moved to the area and began building Kodiak Metals Recycling. Learn more about our Texas Recycling Facility.

  • Asbestos containing material (i.e. insulated pipe and transite concrete fiber board)

  • Closed compressed gas cylinders
  • Closed containers of any kind
  • Computer Monitors, Parts or Accessories
  • Containers with free-flowing liquids inside or outside (tar, oil, gasoline)
  • Household Electronic Scrap
  • Items containing Mercury
  • Flammable or combustible material
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Fluorescent light ballasts
  • Material containing refrigerants
  • Munitions, bullets, military target range scrap, explosives
