James Higginbotham started KCRS Kauai Community Recycling Service LLC back in 2002 for his beloved Kauai community. James and KCRS has been providing excellent service to the community along with giving back by creating employment opportunities for the people of Kauai and providing a necessary service to recycle H15 waste. KCRS has given over S900,000 back to Kauai's recycling customers in 2016 alone. 

Services :

KCRS specializes in recycling glass, plastic and aluminum beverage containers under 64 fluid ounces. This is known as HI 5 recycling for the Hawaii Bottle Bill which means every time you go to the store you pay a 5 cent deposit on all beverage containers except for milk, wine and hard alcohol.

In order to get your deposit back you must recycle your beverage container which you can do at any one of our five locations throughout Kauai. You must have your recycling separated by material type, clean and free of any foreign debris.  Our friendly employees will then inspect your recycling and weigh/count all of your material and refund your deposit.
