The JW Green Company is a third generation full service scrap metal recycling facility with over 50 years of experience in the metal recycling industry.We offer a wide variety of services from purchasing recycled metals from homeowners and businesses, servicing industrial accounts and managing the recycling of demolition sites throughout the eastern United States. We offer our trucking service to pick-up your metals from your job site or business. We also offer our trucking service to drop-off or swap anything from barrels to 40 yard roll-off containers.Our engineering department can help you solve your scrap handling needs with a custom tailored solution to your specific situation.We have plenty of space for large scrap handling needs with 20 acres for processing ferrous material and 32,000 square feet of warehouses to process non-ferrous material.We have the latest software technology which lets us print customized scrap reports including weights, date, time and picture stamps. We use niton metal analyzers to identify material down individual elements. This technology helps us pay our customers exactly what their material is worth.All of our scales are clearly visible so unlike other dealers who offer high prices and make it up on weight deductions, you will be paid for exactly what you have. Our scales are regularly calibrated by the State of Ct to ensure proper weights and payments.All our scales are networked together to the main office computer, so there are no hand written notes on scrap pieces of paper here.The JW Green Company takes pride in knowing we are a tremendous help in saving both energy and natural resources and thus has had an extremely positive impact on our environment. Our Environmental Responsibilities

• The JW Green Company is dedicated to responsible and environmentally safe operating procedures and practices through compliance with all applicable local, state and federal environment regulations. Our Company's commitment to maintaining an environmentally sound workplace is demonstrated by adoption of industry-developed comprehensive environmental operating guidelines.
• The JW Green Company supports Design for Recycling - A national policy to promote the design and manufacture of goods that, at the end of their useful life, can be recycled safely and efficiently.
• The JW Green Company Is a Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection drop-off site. In other words, the Connecticut DEP brings scrap metal to our facility for proper disposal.
• The JW Green Company is registered with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection for a Storm Water General Permit. The Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan has been prepared pursuant to section 22a - 430b of the Connecticut General Statues, as amended by Public Act 91 - 263 and in accordance with Connecticut DEP publication "General Permit for the Discharge of Storm Water Associated with Industrial Activity" dated October 1992.
• The JW Green Company retains the services of Coneco Environmental, an environmental consulting company with offices throughout New England. They have assisted us in the area of Storm water Permitting, and are available for other consultations.
