Teamwork also plays an important role in the success of JC Auto & Truck Parts. The many employees behind the scenes keeps the company thriving.
In 1960, J.C. SHOEMYER and his wife Hazel established J.C. Paint and Body Shop and had one part time employee. The business was first located at 217 S. Vine Street, adjacent to the alley of the building that currently holds the Dugout Lounge.
With JC's skill and business sense and Hazel's ability to hang onto the money, the company has continued to successfully grow over the years. JC had a goal to stay in business for at least five years, and wound up continuing operations at that location for ten years.
JC's outstanding reputation for quality work was second to none. The original shop became too small, and in 1970 a new facility was built. The new facility had a body shop on one side, and a mechanics shop on the other. With a larger facility, there was now space for a salvage yard. Growth had been a key to the success of the company. In addition to maintaining a clean and orderly facility, new buildings were built and existing buildings were enlarged.
Today, our facility includes over thirty acres. Our state-of-the-art computerized inventory system coupled with a nationwide locator system can handle virtually any parts request from a customer.
