About Yard

In 1966 Mike Majkich bought into Jack & Don's Direct Service and he also owned and operated Hibbing Sand & Gravel. He eventually just focused on Jack & Don's and made it a success. He did all the 24-hour towing and the law enforcement tows aside from running the day-to-day operations of the salvage yard/full service gas station.

He and his wife then had four children that all became involved at an early age in working at the family business. His wife also took over doing the bookkeeping and eventually took over ownership when Mike passed away in 1990. The four kids have assisted her in helping run the business. Since that time they have taken over ownership when she passed away in 2008.
 
Jack & Don's Service now has over 40 years of experience in the automotive recycling industry and has seen many changes take place. We offer an auto repair shop, 24 hr emergency road service and full service gas facility. We are also a member of the Automotive Recyclers of Minnesota. We carry a large selection of domestic and some foreign salvage parts. We want to make it easy for you to find and locate your used auto parts. We also have used autos for sale at reasonable prices and mechanics on duty to serve your needs. Vehicle pick up and drop off is available for your convenience.
