In the mid 70s a freight company was founded by Hank Aarsen as "Interior Freight Forwarding."
In 1981 it became "Interior Freight & Bottle Depot."
1991 - Soda/Beer Can densifying and processing.
1994 - The company decided to start taking large amounts of cardboard and grow its operations by adding recycling for Plastics, Jars, and Newspapers.
1996 - Deposit system expanded into Juice & Water Containers.
1998 - Deposit system expanded further into all other drink containers and wine & spirits.
2000 - Expanded into Paper Shredding.
2006 - Interior Freight & Bottle Depot decided to add "Interior Mobile Shredding" as a new division and service, Confidential Paper Shredding, to the North Okanagan area.
2008 - Interior Freight & Bottle Depot built a brand new facility to meet the demands and recycling needs of its customers.
2008 - Interior Freight & Bottle Depot started accepting Electronics for recycling.
2009 - Added Paint recycling.- "Environmental Leadership Award" - Regional District of the North Okanagan (RDNO)
2010 - Began recycling Styrofoam.
2011- Started taking Small Appliances.
2012 - Now accepting Power Tools, Exercise Machines, and Hobby Machines.

Bring it to Interior Freight & Bottle Depot.
Load it up on a cart and bring it inside. If you have a large load of Styrofoam, just ask our staff to help bring it around the side of the building for you.
Simply drive to our location,and pull up alongside our newpaper, cardboard, and magazine recycling bins.
Unload your old newspapers, cardboard and magazines into the appropriately labled bins.
Recycling services are available for businesses that have excess packaging materials (shrink wrap, bubble wrap, and cardboard) on a regular basis.
