“Our goal is to increase the amount of raw materials that can be extracted and recycled from waste with the help of our customers and processing partners, thus contributing to the rational management of natural resources. " We collect 45,000 tons of iron and steel scrap, 25,000 tons of non-ferrous scrap and 1,500 tons of electrical and electronic equipment annually.
The By-Product and Waste Association, better known as the Bee Colonies, was established in 1950 with the aim of providing greater support for the recycling of scrap metal in countries that are already poor in raw materials. This was much needed in order to achieve the utopia that Hungary would become the “country of iron and steel”. The campaign slogan of the BEE colony may sound familiar to many: “collect iron and metal, you will also protect peace!”. In 1993, the nearly 200 bee farms established were privatized, and private waste utilization companies also appeared in Hungary at the same time as the change of regime. This is when the Inter-Metal bee colony appears on the market.
