The family business was established in 1901 in Skotselv in Øvre Eiker. From the start as a traditional scrap trade, the company has developed into a modern nationwide recycling and industrial business, where the main focus is to recycle scrap metal into valuable secondary raw materials in an environmentally and economically optimal way. The group's head office is currently located in Hokksund in Øvre Eiker, with wards and treatment facilities in several places in the country.
We recycle around 250,000 tonnes of scrap metal annually with a consolidated turnover of around NOK 1,000 million. If jointly controlled companies are included, the group sells goods and services for around NOK 1,500 million. Today we are approx. 110 employees.
Our development over 120 years has largely come through organic growth and a willingness to invest all the way in new recycling technology, as well as by preserving a culture where good service, honesty and professional competence characterize all parts of the organization. Hellik Teigen Gruppen is also a player in demolition, decommissioning and environmental remediation of all types of industrial structures in steel, and we have taken part in several of the largest demolition contracts in Norway. Our facilities in Western Norway are specially adapted for ship dismantling and offshore structures.
