The history of Grogan Waste Services, LLC begins in 1952 when founder Clay Grogan began selling shavings and sawdust to poultry farms and equine facilities in North Georgia. Mr. Grogan understood the value of providing quality service and developed a single business principle that resonates with customers to this day: Provide Excellent Customer Service at a Fair Price. With second generation Jim Grogan and third generation Chris Grogan at the helm, Grogan Waste Services continues to help customers meet their needs by providing outstanding service in commercial and residential waste removal, recycling, sani-services along with sawdust and shavings deliveries.
Grogan Waste is the waste collection and disposal operation of Grogan Waste Services, LCC. Jim Grogan entered the waste hauling business when he bought a garbage truck at auction. At the time, there were no dumpsters in Forsyth County and hardly any fast food restaurants. Jim saw a need for waste disposal using dumpsters and started buying and placing them for customer use in shopping centers, restaurants, construction sites and other commercial businesses.
During the early days of running the waste disposal and shavings operations, Jim also owned a successful men’s clothing store. Jim Grogan was known as the best-dressed garbage man in town because it was not out of the norm to see him driving a garbage truck while wearing a coat and tie! The demands of hauling garbage grew so large that eventually the clothing store was sold off.
Providing roll-off dumpsters, front-loading containers and compactors for trash removal at a competitive price!
Grogan Waste Services can collect your recyclable materials in separate containers or dumpsters. This is referred to as single stream recycling because materials are separated by you into individual “waste streams” and placed into containers where they are picked up by our trucks for processing.
Roll-off equipment is designed to load bulky, non-compactable debris and materials such as waste from construction and demolition projects or industrial facilities. Roll-off’s are delivered to your site and removed with an empty container on a regular schedule up to six days per week or when you call. These high-capacity, steel boxes can be loaded through the open top or large rear doors. Separate recycling containers for building materials such as metal are also available.
Grogan Waste Services specializes in waste compactors and can propose creative solutions for your waste handling problems. We offer rental, lease or sale of roll-off waste compactors to customers that produce large volumes of waste or require odor control and security. Our compactors provide a cost-effective and labor savings solution for handling waste in a small area. Compactors are picked up once a week with an empty unit dropped off in its place. The machine that does the compacting is built-in to the container and rigorously maintained at our facility so it’s always ready to work.
