Greenview Materials was started by John Whittington in January 2014, in conjunction with Jordan Banda at W International. We are based out of Appleton, WI, with a sales office in Washington, MO. We have partnerships with a network of warehouses across the USA, with plans to open another recycling center in Washington, MO by summer of 2016.
Greenview Materials was born out of a strong desire to carry out a multi-generational legacy of family economics. We strive to do business with complete honesty and integrity in a way that brings honor to God. Success begins with customer care and satisfaction - we value long term relationships with both our customers and suppliers. We have more than 10 years of experience in buying and selling prime & recycled plastics of all varieties. We have local, stateside & international customers and suppliers..
At Greenview Materials, we strive to do business with honesty and integrity. We value long term relationships with our customers and suppliers.
OUR CUSTOMERS ARE OUR BUSINESS.
At Greenview Materials, we believe in business values like real customer satisfaction, a hand shake and a smile. Because we care, we'll always strive to keep our promise to you.
We believe that "people buy from people". Trust and relationships really DO matter. We try our best to serve our customers with the utmost integrity and complete honesty.....this is our commitment to you.
We seek to provide quality material to our customers through our plastic recycling program. We have good relationships with our suppliers, and love working with our customers to find their ideal material. We are honored to help your company with its recycling needs.
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is a thermoplastic made from the monomer ethylene. LDPE is defined by a density range of 0.910–0.940 g/cm3. LDPE has more branching (on about 2% of the carbon atoms) than HDPE, so its intermolecular forces (instantaneous-dipole induced-dipole attraction) are weaker, its tensile strength is lower, and its resilience is higher. Also, since its molecules are less tightly packed and less crystalline because of the side branches, its density is lower.
Polypropylene (PP), also known as polypropene, is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications We offer many grades of certified polypropylene including FDA certified resins.
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyethylene high-density (PEHD) is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum. HDPE is known for its large strength-to-density ratio.[3] The density of HDPE can range from 0.93 to 0.97 g/cm3 or 970 kg/m3.[4] Although the density of HDPE is only marginally higher than that of low-density polyethylene, HDPE has little branching, giving it stronger intermolecular forces and tensile strength than LDPE. The difference in strength exceeds the difference in density, giving HDPE a higher specific strength.[5] It is also harder and more opaque and can withstand somewhat higher temperatures (120 °C/ 248 °F for short periods, 110 °C /230 °F continuously).
Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) is a substantially linear polymer (polyethylene), with significant numbers of short branches, commonly made by copolymerization of ethylene with longer-chain olefins. LDPE and LLDPE have unique rheological or melt flow properties. LLDPE is less shear sensitive because of its narrower molecular weight distribution and shorter chain branching. During a shearing process, such as extrusion, LLDPE remains more viscous and, therefore, harder to process than an LDPE of equivalent melt index.
