Established in 1987, Green Earth Plastic Recycling has worked to develop financially viable uses for plastic waste. We have produced plastic resins that can be used for a variety of different applications. At our facility in Joliet, IL, we produce more than 12 million pounds of recycled plastic each year. Below are the three different types of plastic that we recycle and reprocess.
One of the products that we at Green Earth Plastic Recycling produce and sell is a LDPE Repro material that is gray in color.
This is the breakdown of this material:
Another product that we produce at Green Earth Plastic Recycling is a MDPE Repro material that is black in color.
Green Earth Plastic Recycling also produces a Polypropylene Repro black in color
One of the materials that we work with at Green Earth Plastic Recycling is plastic number 2 HDPE
Plastic Number 2 HDPE
This plastic is a high density polyethylene or HDPE. Most detergent bottles, milk jugs, juice bottles, butter tubs, and toiletries bottles are made of this material. While some recycling companies can only work with post industrial material, we at Green Earth are diversified and can use both post industrial and post consumer material. With a wash line at our facility, we have the ability to grind and wash all of our material. These are pictures of products that we currently recycle and are always looking to purchase.
One of the materials that we work with at Green Earth Plastic Recycling is plastic number 4 LDPE.
Plastic Number 4 LDPE
This is a low density polyethylene or LDPE. It is used to make grocery bags, some food wraps, squeezable bottles, and bread bags. These are pictures of products that we currently recycle and are always looking for.
