Grand Rapids Iron & Metal was established in the 1900’s in the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was primarily a steel scrap yard, which also handled rags and leather. During the 60's and 70's paper recovery was included, and in the late 90's post industrial plastic was included. Today we handle most all grades of fiber, metals, and plastic.
Since our acquisition of the company in 2000, we have relentlessly pursued excellence in customer service. We have upgraded much of our processing systems using efficient technology in order to provide our vendors and customers with the best possible value.
Streamlining our processing has enabled us to diversify the recyclable materials we can handle which enables us to service more clients with their recycling needs.
Flexibility for our vendors and customers is a must as we are continuously designing our systems and processes to work for you and your business. We believe it is crucial to our development and growth that we care for your business as if it were our own. We always welcome ideas, and criticism will be appreciated!
When you contact GRIM you will be helped by qualified, trained personnel who can assist you with your recycling program and answer any questions that you may have.
