What difference does Appliance Recycling make?
Your old appliance is still worth money! We will PAY $5.00 to you or your designated charity for each appliance. CLICK HERE for a list of appliances.Recycling is the most responsible and legal way to dispose of your unwanted appliances. All states prohibit dumping and 22 states currently prohibit appliances at landfills and penalties for releasing CFC’s (coolant from refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, etc.) can be up to $25,000 and include jail time. When we no longer need an appliance, the steel can be recycled and the coolant removed for reuse in new products. This helps preserve our natural resources and saves energy. By weight, the typical appliance consists of about 75% steel. For this reason, all appliances contain recycled steel and are recyclable when they have reached the end of their useful lives.
