Once weekly trash and recycling collection for non-rural customers. Yard waste is collected, up to 5 bags per week (up to 2 of which may be grass clippings) from non-rural customers. Yard waste collection availability may vary based on volume and our need to prioritize trash and recycling collection first.
Rural route customers may or may not be eligible for recycling collection depending upon the density of households in their service areas. We are planning on providing large recycling carts with bi-weekly recycling collection in the near future.

Your trash service provides either once weekly residential trash service pick-up for your household only.
Please place your container(s) by the curbside for collection by 7 a.m. to ensure pick-up on any given day. Please remember it is your responsibility to have it out on time. There is one recycling pick-up day per week per neighborhood and all of GBUSA’s customers qualify for the exclusive Recyclebank Rewards program. Limit Per Pick Up
The amount of trash you may place out for pick-up is limited to the trash that fits within your cart or carts. Additional carts are available for purchase from GBUSA, Inc. The use of other companies carts for pick-up is not permitted. After you have received our cart for service that is the only container acceptable for pick-up by our drivers.
The collection of extra trash from customers (that which does not fit within your cart) is limited to the discretion of GBUSA, Inc. We will make every effort to collect additional trash but this service is not in any way guaranteed
Residential Collection
Your contract term begins on the first day of a quarter (January 1, April 1, July 1 or October 1) and continues until the end of that quarter. Payments for billings are due on the first day a quarter begins. Should we be forced to resort to litigation to collect past due balances, customers agree to reimburse GBUSA, Inc. for any and all costs associated with said collection including but not limited to attorney’s fees.
There is one recycling pick-up day per week per neighborhood.Trash must be out for collection by 7 a.m. to ensure pick-up on any given day.We try to work every day that we can. This MAY mean you will be collected on a holiday. Holiday collections may coincide with the Union County Landfill schedule. The back of your invoice will delineate any deviation in collection for the upcoming quarter.
Items We can Collect
Normal household waste, cans, newspapers, foods, clothes, small appliances, plastics, boxes , and empty paint cans (either empty or in which the paint is completely hardened. Otherwise, paint and hazardous waste need to be taken to your local Hazardous Waste site).
Items We cannot Collect
NO yard waste (grass clippings, leaves, shrubs, Christmas trees) construction debris, oil, wood, hazardous waste, paint, tires, and automobile batteries. Due to a state law that went into effect July 2011, landfills can no longer accept electronics. The Foxhole Landfill located at 17131 Lancaster Highway, Charlotte, NC (located at Highway 521 right at the NC/SC State Line) will accept and recycle electronic items. Additionally, USB Recycling (3307A Highway 74 East) will recycle electronics. USB offers free drop off or local pickup for a fee. Call 704-207-1220 for more information.
