The company GLYKAS Ltd., was founded in 1974 by Aristotle Glykas and in 1992 moved to the area of Thebes and was engaged in foundry and pressed products and the trade of non-ferrous metals. It was later extended by the four brothers Nicholas, Joachim, John and Alexander to scrap iron utilization and solid waste management.
In Boeotia it has privately owned facilities from buildings and 13 acres of land with modern industrial facilities, where it operates a foundry-foundry-press-scissor 650 tons and a fleet of trucks-grabbers-loaders-electronic cranes-peeling cables-paper presses and life cycle receipt. The Glyka brothers in 2005 expanded to Evia, buying 25 acres of land, building one of the largest recycling plants in Greece. The modern industrial buildings-offices and machines make the company GLYKAS unique in its kind. It has the largest new press scissor 1200 tons production of 50 tons of scrap per hour.
