B&B Leasing started many years ago. In 1935, John Bloom founded the first company-Oregon City Garbage-with nothing more than a pick up truck. His son, Richard Bloom, took over the business in 1959, and over the years, he added the Molalla and Gladstone franchises. His daughter, Pamela, continues the family tradition. Pamela has served as COO since 1998.Today, Pam operates a family-owned, family-oriented solid waste collection company. In the 40-plus years under their leadership, the company has grown from a single truck to a fleet of over 40 specialized collection trucks, servicing over 22,000 families and business within the greater Clackamas County.Occasionally, icy or snowy roads make it unsafe for our trucks to be out. We always do our best to put the safety of our customers and their property as well as our employees and equipment first during adverse weather conditions. Since weather changes can occur rapidly during bad weather it is difficult to predict the length of any service delays in advance. However, in the event of a delay in service, we will do our best to ensure that service is provided as soon as possible after the weather improves.During inclement weather conditions, driving may be hazardous and the collection of garbage, yard debris, and recycling may be delayed or postponed. In the case of severe weather, collection will be prioritized in the following order:
If you have weekly garbage service with Gladstone Disposal Company, and are inside the city limits or urban growth boundary, you automatically have recycling pick up services.Recycling is collected weekly, year-round. It is picked up on the same day as your regular garbage pick up, but we use a separate truck to pick it up. Recycling MUST be separate from your garbage. Please set out your recycling roll cart when it is full or manageable.Your recycling must be at the curb/road side by 5:00 a.m., on your normal garbage pickup day. Please use the large gray recycling roll cart, recycling bins, or paper bags, such as a brown grocery bag. Do not use plastic bags.As of January 1, 2010, computers, monitors and TVs CANNOT be disposed of in the garbage or at disposal sites such as landfills, transfer stations and incinerators. Please do not place any of these in your garbage cart or container. If you have computers, monitors, or TVs to dispose of we can pick them for a small pick-up fee or you can click the link below to find the nearest collection center to dispose of them at no cost. All recycling can be combined into the large gray recycling roll cart except for glass and motor oil.Glass and motor oil must be kept separate from all other recyclables. All paper, plastics, and metals can be combined in your large recycling roll cart.We are also pleased to announce that plastic tubs (yogurt, margarine and salsa tubs, as well as clean plastic buckets and nursery pots) are now able to be included in your recycling.Clean plastic tubs (No lids): yogurt, cottage cheese, salsa, etc Buckets & large tubs (laundry detergent, kitty litter) Nursery pots (clean - no dirt)
All recyclables below can be place in the same container together.
If you use a paper bag, place the full paper bag in a recycling bin.Motor oil is acceptable, but it must be in a non-breakable see-through container with a tight screw-on lid (an old gallon milk jug is recommended). No more than 2 jugs per week please. Under no circumstances place the following items with your recyclables: liquid waste, hazardous waste (which is anything labeled poison), or medical sharps.During severe weather conditions, we ask that your recyclables be held back until your next regular pick up day, when the bad weather will likely be gone. Please note that our drivers must follow the guidelines established by our governing bodies. Recycling in unacceptable containers, or of an unacceptable type (e.g. hazardous waste), will not be picked up.
Please remember to keep glass bottles and jars separate from other recyclables.
