At our family owned operation, owned by Frankie and Jim DiBartolo, we are committed to achieve the highest material recovery rates possible to reduce unnecessary waste streams. Our goal is to protect our planet’s ecosystems. No matter the size or category, if it’s salvageable material, we will recover it. And when we do, here’s a brief look at how it can be recycled for sustainable reuse – which, of course, eliminates the energy costs of producing new materials from scratch.
METALS
Virtually all ferrous and non-ferrous materials, such as iron, steel, brass copper, aluminum – in other words, structural members, piping, fasteners, steel studding, siding, wiring, ductwork and sheet metal – on average, these materials can all be recycled 100% and repurposed to produce all manner of metal goods.
COMPUTERS
Many laptops have a small fluorescent lamp in the screen that contains mercury, or use lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. Also, lead is present in CRT computer monitors. Circuit boards can also include mercury, lead and cadmium, as well as batteries made of mercury and mercury switches. These materials cause harm to the environment if they are mismanaged or disposed of in improperly lined landfills, which means it is important to find a responsible recycling solution when you’re ready to get rid of your old computer equipment.
CONCRETE
Concrete, rock, brick, block products are recycled into the crushed aggregate used for making roads, driveways and parking lots.
Our ultimate goal is have less waste, and less that goes to the landfills. Let's make a green today for a greener tomorrow.
