Exner E-Waste Processing Inc. located in Elie, MB is an EOLE waste management company with Technology developed and engineered by President Hubertus Exner and Vice President Paul Wegner. The company was established in January of 2010. This technology is not only able to recycle general electronic e-waste found in businesses and residential homes, but expands into other items, such as small household appliances, photocopiers, ATM machines, hand/garden tools and more.Exner is specialized in processing EOLE for the main purpose of recovering metals to be supplied back in to the market for remanufacturing of new products; steel, aluminum, copper and more. Advanced combined German technology and custom modification of Equipment such as Shredder, Hammermill, Air Jig, and Screening Machine allow for a fast, efficient and clean process for metal recovery.
On July 14, 2011, Exner E-Waste Processing Inc. was issued an Environment Act License in accordance with The Environment Act, for the construction and operation of the development being an electronic waste processing facility located at 11 Woodstalk Way, Elie MB.
Exner has received verification for EOLE handling and processing as a primary processor with the Recycler Qualification Program as of December 11, 2012.The Recycler Qualification Office (RQO) was established by the industry-led end-of-life electronics stewardship programs to ensure that environmentally sound electronics reuse and recycling standards are established, met, maintained and continually improved upon. The RQO operates under Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA), a national, non-profit entity, created by Canada’s electronics industry in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Canada’s industry-led and regulated electronics stewardship programs.
When dealing with electronic waste and other non-ferrous scrap, most of the time we are dealing with composite materials. These materials are difficult to separate and many times the material is manually separated using cheap labour in a developing country, or if the metal content is high enough to justify the cost, it is sent directly to a smelter. In both Cases this will lead to incomplete recovery of the materials present along with a huge environmental impact generated in the process. At Exner E-Waste we like to go different route. We use a finely crafted combination of milling processes along with material separation using physical properties of the material in the composite.
The milling of the material delaminates the composite (e.g. frees up the pieces of copper and aluminum present in a radiator) and makes subsequent separation of the material by density possible (in this case yielding clean copper and aluminum). This technology allows us to recover materials that our competition would simply lose in their process, at a fraction of their processing cost – allowing us to provide you with very competitive rates while helping to keep our environment clean.
At Exner we process a wide range of electronic and non electronic equipment. Our process is secure, fast, efficient, and environmentally friendly and majority of the process is done with our advanced technology. All waste processed at Exner is turned into recovered recourses, like copper and aluminum. At Exner we do not test, refurbish or resale any electronic devices entering our facility. When it comes to protecting information, total destruction is the only way to go, to ensure your information and device is non retrievable. Our customers are supplied with Certificate of Destruction and when specially requested the serial number of the devices.
