Evergreen Waste Services offers professional, consistent, quality service at a reasonable price. Our service includes residential collection, with recycling and yard waste services. In addition we provide roll-off and commercial services.

The owners moved to Delaware in 2007 knowing an opportunity to get into the waste industry was inevitable. Both owners have over 15 years in the industry and have been involved in all aspects of the business. With this experience comes reliability that never changes. There is no local management or company directives that will change quarterly or annually. We have one goal in mind and that is to be the best residential hauling company in Delaware.

Evergreen Waste Service is a small local company based in Hockessin Delaware. We pride ourselves on putting customers first and doing our best each day. We know that without you as a customer we don’t grow and your support is crucial to our success.

We do our best to show you that you matter and we care. You will experience this when you call the office and when we service your home. We are the only company in Delaware that offers Recycle, Garbage and Yard Waste pick up to all of our customers on the same day each week. With Evergreen you don’t have to worry about which day you put out your garbage or recycle, or if this week is recycle or yard waste pick up. We do all services on the same day with two trucks. This is the most efficient way to service your Neighborhood. We want to do the best job for you and have less of an environmental impact. We love and live in Delaware and want to keep it clean.

Recycling

Participation is encouraged with our once a week recycling program. If you have more recyclables you can pay for an additional container from us or put your recyclables in your own containers or bags next to ours. We do "single stream recycling" meaning everything goes into one container and is sorted out at the recycling facility.

In 2007 the State of Delaware passed into law a yard waste ban at the Cherry Island landfill. According to Delaware law and the Delaware State Waste Authority (DSWA) we are not allowed to co-mingle yard waste with your household trash.

• Evergreen has a service where we come every week to pick up your yard waste.
• Same day as your trash and recycle pick-up.
• You may pay yearly, which includes a free Christmas tree pick-up or you may pay as you go.
• We will take grass clippings, leaves, shrubs, weeds, and tree limbs. Please bag these items or you can put them loose in a container.
• Tree limbs and brush must not be any longer than three to four feet and four inches in diameter and tied into bundles, bagged or canned to help our drivers avoid having to pick up every individual stick.

Delaware Residential Garbage and Waste Services

• We provide weekly waste removal service of all your household trash on the designated day for your neighborhood.
• We will provide you with a 98 gallon wheeled container with an attached lid before your first pickup.
• The container will hold six to seven 40 gallon garbage bags and has a weight capacity of 280lbs. We will also accept additional bags of trash on the side or you may use your own containers. We will dispose of one bulk item each week, for example: mattress, chair, water heater, couch, table, grill, bicycle, vacuum.
• We ask that you be mindful of our drivers and their helpers in a way that if something weighs over 50lbs and doesn't fit in the container to mark it heavy.
• If you have something that takes two people to lift please give us a call and most of the time we can pick it up for you at no charge on your next service day.
• Due to high fuel costs please have your trash curbside the night before to avoid having to send a service truck back to your home. Thank you.

Commercial Waste & Roll Off Service - Delaware

As of 2014, we now offer commercial service. In January of this year recycling became mandatory for businesses. We offer weekly, bi monthly and monthly pick up for your business of both trash and recycle. You'll find we have a space friendly alternative to what you are doing now at a price you will find more pleasing. We would be happy to give you a quote on your business and we look forward to servicing your local company here in New Castle County.

Roll-Off containers are available for residential cleanups of trash or recyclables; for bulk non-compactable materials, such as construction waste, and roofing materials. Excellent for source separated materials like glass, scrap steel, concrete and asphalt. These items can be taken to recyclable facilities with a lower disposal cost. In addition, we offer two to eight cubic yard containers for smaller cleanups and weekly commercial service. Compactors are available including sales, rental, installation and service.
