Enviroshred was founded in 1990 with the goal of providing businesses in the Toronto area with an opportunity to recycle their office paper . Knowing confidentiality would be a concern, Enviroshred also offered shredding services for it's clients sensitive documents.

As the business expanded and our client base grew, we were often asked if we could store records that businesses did not require on site.  Therefore, in 1995, we bought our first warehouse (Data Retention Centre) so that we could provide records management  services to our clients with the same personal, reliable service they had come to expect from Enviroshred.
