Founded by Susie Walsh, Greg Weekes and Glen Magaldi in 1982, Eastern Metal Supply started with just 5 employees and has since grown to employ over 500. Our single Florida location has also grown into nine nation-wide service centers and manufacturing facilities, totaling over 1,000,000 square feet as of early 2015. These locations focus on the distribution and fabrication of aluminum extrusions and sheet products.

For over 30 years, EMS has earned a reputation throughout the United States as a first-class supplier of aluminum products based upon the principles of excellent service and quality. At EMS our goals are three-fold; to serve our customers profitably through the sale of high quality aluminum products; to provide a healthy work environment for our employees; and to make a positive contribution to our communities.

With our nine strategic locations EMS and subsidiaries services the entire United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. In the Eastern 2/3rds of the US many of our customers receive frequent delivery of their orders on our company trucks manned by company drivers. Our Corporate Office and warehouse in Lake Worth, FL stands at 143,000 square feet. We also have a 112,000 square foot Hurricane Shutter Products Distribution and Manufacturing Center in West Palm Beach and a 160,000 square foot warehouse in Lakeland. EMS Florida serves the state of Florida, Southern Alabama and the Caribbean.

Our NC facility, located in Charlotte, was opened in 1989 and stands at 112,000 square feet. EMS North Carolina serves the Southeastern, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada. In an effort to reach more aluminum extrusion customers, we opened a 35,000 square foot distribution center in Newark, DE and our newest addition a 35,000 square foot distribution center in Birmingham, AL.

To increase our western footprint we opened EMS Texas in Houston in 1995. Due to a rapid increase in sales, we expanded our TX location multiple times just completing an expansion in late 2014 that takes us to 144,000 square feet. EMS TX serves the Southwestern United States, Mexico and Central America.

In 1999 EMS Missouri opened in St. Louis. EMS MO serves the Midwest and Northwestern United States west of Ohio and Western Canada. In 2013 EMS MO acquired 7 acres of land in St Charles, MO and has completed construction of a new facility at 68,000 square feet. An additional 46,000 square feet of warehouse space will be added as demand increases with a total build of 114,000 square feet. The move allows for increased productivity, expanded aluminum extrusion inventory, additional space for a future fabrication center, as well as room to accommodate future growth for increased distribution.

EMS is still privately held and continues to be led by Susie Walsh and Greg Weekes, two of the original owners. We are also growing the company by acquisition, in 2007,we expanded our aluminum extrusion fabrication services by acquiring Marine Manufacturing Company. Now EMS FL as well as EMS TX offer sophisticated fabrication solutions for all industries. We can work with your engineers and designers to reduce start-up time by utilizing our Solid Works (CAD) software and manufacture your extruded aluminum parts on EMS' sophisticated fabrication machinery.

Then in 2011 Eastern Metal Supply acquired Flesher Windows, a manufacturer of aluminum and vinyl impact windows and doors. We re-branded it Eastern Architectural Systems and continue to offer Earthwise Windows, the only vinyl impact window in the State of Florida with the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. We also offer quality impact windows and doors that offer energy efficiency, security and hurricane protection. In March 2015 our EAS division moved into a brand new 172,000 square foot state of the art facility in Ft. Myers, FL.

September 2015 saw the purchase of Tigress Trading Company Inc. and Tigress Specialty Metals Products Manufacturing, Inc. EMS has a long term commitment to manufacturing and distributing marine products including anodized pads, hardware, BDA pipe, rod holders, electronic boxes and lights. The Tigress acquisition will further strengthen EMS' foothold in the salt water sports fishing industry as we continue to bring a high quality and diverse product line to our marine customers.

"Just-In-Time Delivery" is the backbone of our business today. With EMS stocking their inventory and shipping it as needed, our customers utilize their own floor space more profitably for manufacturing operations and benefit from significant cash flow improvements as well. This service provides assurance that the aluminum extrusion products they use will be there when needed. We also have our own fleet of over 75 trucks to ensure reliable service within our delivery areas.
