Dom's Auto Parts is a third generation family owned business serving the automotive industry for over 50 years. We are located on over 60 acres of property 30 minutes East of Toronto off highway 401.Roughly 80% of a vehicle can be reused or recycled. We do just that. All fluids and toxic material that pose a risk to the environment such as oils, fuel, anti-freeze and mercury switches to name a few, are removed from our vehicles. We partner with several different associations and programs to ensure the proper disposal of the toxins. All of our vehicles are dismantled with the utmost concern for the environment in our state of the art facility.We carry a large selection of new aftermarket parts and pre-dismantled, cleaned and tested OEM recycled parts for early and late model vehicles. Additional end-of-life vehicles arrive weekly for constantly updated inventory. History

Dominic Vetere Senior and his son Mickey Vetere opened Dom’s Auto Parts in March 1964. Starting with only 6 employees in a small west end yard in Toronto on McCormack Street, Dom’s Auto Parts was rapidly growing and looking to expand.In 1967, Dom’s Auto Parts purchased Motor City Auto Parts 65 acres of property in Courtice which is where we reside today. Sadly in 1975 Dominic Vetere Senior passed away, leaving son Mickey and son in-law Gino to run the family business. In 1976 the Toronto location was closed.

Over the years, Mickey Vetere has been considered a pioneer and innovator in the recycling industry. With such passion, Mickey has helped establish I-CAR in Canada and was a founding board member and past president of the Canadian Auto Recyclers Association. Among many first, Mickey ran; Canada’s first recycler’s trade show at the Bristol Place Hotel in Toronto with Roger Dupuy, the Hot Line and the Roadrunner Transport System to name a few.Mickey’s son Dominic Vetere Junior, began working at the Courtice facility in the mid 80’s and has since taken partnership with his father. As past president of the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association, Dominic remains actively involved in the automotive industry and is committed to helping the advancement of the industry he loves so much.On March 11, 2003 Dom’s Auto Parts experienced a devastating fire, which destroyed the main office and garages. Two years later, through hard work, dedicated employees and industry wide support, our new state of the art facility was opened.With over 30 employees, Dom’s Auto Parts continues to be a leader in the auto recycling industry in Canada.

Auto Recycling

Over the years, auto recyclers have been given a bad rap for environmental damage. This is not the case, at Dom’s Auto Parts we are proud to say that all of our vehicles are dismantled with the utmost concern for the environment.Since roughly 80% of a vehicle can be reused or recycled, we do just that. We take each vehicle and carefully remove all fluids and toxic material that pose a risk to the environment such as oils, fuel, anti-freeze and mercury switches to name a few. We partner with several different associations and programs to ensure the proper disposal of the toxins such as the Mercury Switch Out program.

Once all of the toxins are removed, we then strip the vehicles of any additional items such as batteries and tires which are also safely disposed of or resold. At this point the vehicles are sent to the yard for customers to pick additional recycled parts for reuse.After all parts are removed and a vehicle skeleton is left, the vehicle is then crushed and sold for the metal. The metal is reused to create new products. The cycle begins all over again.
