People all around Missouri trust us to recycle their ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as their electronics because they understand our commitment to environmental health and the safety of our employees.
We recycle because we care
At Didion Orf we understand that to some, metal is just something that goes on buildings, bridges, or other structures. Many don't understand how it is created or the life span that it will have.We do, and we know that most metal will just end up sitting around, wasting away and causing damage. That's why we care about making sure that we recycle as much metal scrap and electronic material as we possibly can. Call either of our 2 locations, St. Peters and St. James, to find out more information!
We're committed to you
Our kind, courteous staff is committed to improving the recycling process and making your interaction with it as smooth as possible. That's why we'll get it done faster, and in a more environmentally friendly way than any of our competitors. All with a smile on our face.
We've got the credentials to prove it
Our St. Peters location was the first metal recycling facility in the entire state of Missouri to receive dual certification in both R2 and RIOS standards. That means we'll recycle your electronics in a way that respects the earth, and that we focus heavily on the safety of our operations. Our competitors are just following suit at this point.
Didion Orf Recycling has a reputation in the St. Louis and St. Charles County areas for being committed to our community. One of our top priorities is giving back and helping out whenever we can.
Increasing our community involvement efforts has proven to be very beneficial for both our employees and our customers. People actually enjoy coming to Didion Orf Recycling, which is more than any other recycling facility around the area can claim.Every now and then, we like to ask for your assistance in our programs, so check the website and our Facebook page to learn what you can do to help us. Here are some of the programs and events that we are associated with all year long: Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis, 93.7 the Bull Float Trip, Bo Matthews on 92.3 WIL, 105.7 the POINT, local holiday parades, and many others.
We have found that the best way to educate people regarding the importance and the impact of recycling is to make the argument one about dollars and cents. Simply put, your scrap has value and depending on how much you have, a big pay day could be on the horizon. There are other upsides to recycling your scrap as well. After all, if you've got a lot of scrap at your property, why not get paid to move some of it and make your place look a little nicer?
When you arrive, we'll send you to a zone based on the scrap you are recycling. One of our staff members will greet you and unload your material. We pay you depending on the weight of your scrap, so we'll weigh your material on a scale, and pay you for it. It's really as simple as that.
We recycle most types of electronics. There are many items that we will pay you to bring in. These include computer towers, laptops, cell phones, ect. Some items we take as just a free drop off, such as keyboards, printers, old stereo equipment, etc. There are also items we charge a small fee to recycle. These item include CRT computer monitors, tube or projection TVs, and microwaves.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT broken batteries, alkaline batteries, items containing mercury, PCBs or freon, propane tanks, stolen material, live ammo shells, kegs, or any municipality equipment that does not have correct documentation (railroad iron, fire hydrants, road signs).
