In 2009, we decided to take our 20 plus years of metal recycling expertise and start our own company. Our goal was to not only build a business that was honest, responsible, fair and safe for our customers, but also for our employees, while doing our part in caring for the environment.

Over the years we’ve built solid relationships with our customers, manufacturers and even other recycling facilities. Custom Recycling has grown from just five employees in a 1,000 sf building to now two locations, with a combined indoor warehouse space of 50,000 square feet on over 10 acres of land.

Custom Recycling currently collects and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap at our Monroe, NC and York, SC facilities. We now own several pieces of machinery to help in this process: A fleet of trucks, roll offs, vans, and open top trailers to pick up material. We also have a certified 80’ truck scale and are equipped with a baler, sheers, plasma torches, excavators, bobcats, and forklifts to help load, unload, and process any material.We look forward to continued growth and exceeding our customers’ expectations.
