In the early 50's, Billy Crane saw the need for auto parts in Dawsonville. Starting with just several cars and trucks, he started "Cranes Auto Parts". As the years went on he grew his inventory from several cars to over 2000 vehicles. He and his son Marcus ran the business until the late 80's. As Billy got older, he became less involved in the business. In 2007 his grandson Mark Crane purchased the business and began Metal Recycling and Auto Parts business as the 3rd generation family member.
