Roll-off, Waste & Recycling Services

Conway Disposal Ltd can provide residential, commercial and industrial customers with roll-off, waste and recycling services in Industrial Cape Breton and surrounding areas. We offer roll-off containers in 15 cubic yard, 20 cubic yard, 30 cubic yard and 40 cubic yard sizes. The 40 cubic yard containers have a roof unlike the smaller containers which are open on top.

Recycling Disposal Guidelines for Roll-Off Containers

All bagged recycling must be in clear or blue bags. Material must be sorted as per Cape Breton Regional Municipality guidelines: paper products in one bag and plastic products in another bag. Cardboard does not have to be bagged, but paper and plastic items do. For customers recycling both cardboard/paper products and plastics, these must be placed in separate recycling containers or a split recycling container to separate the two products.

Green Cart Exchange Service for Your Organic Waste

Our green cart exchange in Industrial Cape Breton and surrounding areas is provided through our sister company, Metro Sanitation Ltd. With this convenient cart exchange program, the cart is not just emptied; it is swapped for a high pressured hot water cleaned cart. Carts are exchanged on a regular schedule to meet our customer needs. Green/Organic carts are 64 gallon capacity commercial carts.If you are already involved in the program, great! If you are considering participating in the green cart program, but are unsure due to concerns about pests or odours, consider these possible solutions:

• Vinegar, baking soda and salt help reduce odour.
• Don’t store green carts in the sun. Choose a dry, shaded, and well-ventilated area whenever possible as bright sunlight and heat accelerate decomposition of organic materials and will increase odours.
• Don’t skip a collection day! Even if your cart is less than full, put it out for collection so that the materials don’t develop strong odours.
• Garden lime sprinkled in carts will kill maggots if they appear.
