We team with industries to dispose of plastics in the most efficient way possible and keep plastics from going to landfill. Below is a list of plastics we recycle and some example products.
- PET (1) (polyethylene terephthalate) is clear or slightly tinted and has a high melting point: soft drink bottles, peanut butter and salad dressing jars, sheeting for microwave food trays.
- HDPE (2) (high density polyethylene) - is translucent or colored: milk jugs, juice bottles, water and detergent bottles, margarine tubs, bleach, lotion, shampoo, and bubble bath bottles, crates, pallets, totes, and bins.
- PVC (3) (polyvinyl chloride): has a shiny surface and sinks in water - vegetable oil and shampoo bottles, laundry detergent containers, cooking oil bottles, window cleaning products, and fresh meat wrappers.
- LDPE (4) (low density polyethylene): margarine tubs, coffee can lids, and wrapping films.
- PP (5) (polypropylene): squeezable jelly, syrup bottles, ketchup bottles, yogurt tubs and caps and closures.
- PS (6) (polystyrene): Styrofoam containers and clamshells.
- Other (7) This category includes Polycarbonate, ABS, Acrylic, Nylon, or composites of 2 or more resins.
