Since 1972, it has been our objective not only to combine experience and service, but also to utilize the most current technology and equipment to account for the materials entrusted to us. We pride ourselves on our processing techniques -- providing custom-tailored services and flexible programs to meet the asset recovery and recycling needs of our clients.
We take the burden off our clients by managing and accounting for their end-of-life electronic products. We remarket products for asset recovery, reduce waste through recycling, and limit liability with sound environmental practices.
City Industries is located in 85,000 square feet of facilities, centrally located in the downtown Dallas area. Our facilities have extensive state-of-the-art security features to protect the materials received from our customers. These security features include fenced and gated access areas, wall to wall alarm system with 24 hour monitoring, interior surveillance cameras, manned guard stations, security patrols, and limited facility access
to employees and approved visitors.
The technological age which we live in has created a vast and complex array of electronic products that are smaller, faster and more efficient than products that were manufactured a few years ago. Through upgrading and replacing older equipment, industry and consumers find themselves storing products for which they no longer have a use. It is important to our environment to properly recycle and dispose of the products we can no longer use, and it is possible to accomplish this with an efficient recycling program.
When the “use” value of most equipment has diminished, the only existing value in this product is metal content. In most cases, electronic scrap may contain precious metals which have monetary value. Precious metals such as gold, silver and palladium are commonly processed and refined at City Industries, Incorporated. Our state-of- the-art facility is expressly designed for recovering these metals from scrap materials, and returning the highest possible monetary value to our customers. Not only is monetary return important, but proper disposal of potentially hazardous byproducts helps our customers eliminate future environmental liability.
Additionally, we offer precious metals buying/refining services for jewelry, dental, bullion, and other high grade forms of precious metals. We can melt, sample, and assay your material for gold, silver, palladium and platinum. We pay prompt returns based on assay percent and current exchange markets minus a nominal refining charge.

Computer Recycling is a primary service at City Industries. Once your shipment is received it will be tracked, through processing, by our computerized tracking system. Our operations involve dismantling and segregation processes to break-down and separate electronic products into component parts and raw commodities. Materials such as aluminum, copper, iron/tin, gold, silver, stainless steel and plastics are processed and marketed daily at our plant. We recycle these materials in mass volumes and market them to large refineries and foundries for conversion into various new products. Ours is a "closed-loop" process.
If a shipment contains batteries, we can handle them too. We are careful to remove, isolate and manage hazardous materials in an enviromentally sound manner. These materials are strictly recycled within state and federal regulatory requirements.
Should your shipment contain parts that have re-marketable value, we can send them through our Product Reconditioning department for repair, testing and resale. The additional revenues can increase your bottom line.
If you're concerned about security of proprietary parts or confidential information left on hard drives, we have the solution. We can crush the parts, erase the hard drives, shred the media, even completely destroy the hard drives before recycling. We have the equipment to get the job done. A certificate of destruction is provided to certify the process.
For over thirty years we've been providing solutions to our customers to improve inventory control and ensure that waste material is properly recycled. We can limit your liability and safe-guard your corporate assets with a comprehensive recycling program. Contact us to see what we can do for you.
