Caudill and Sons, located in Bronson, Michigan, was established in 1970 by the late David T. Caudill. A hard working business man, David involved his children immediately, teaching them how to identify the various metals and work with customers. His legacy lives on through Caudill and Sons as it is now, and as it will be in the future. He is greatly missed. Ferrous materials include steel and pig iron, which contain a small percentage of carbon. It also includes alloys of iron with other metals, like stainless steel. Ferrous materials are magnetic. Non-Ferrous materials are metals or alloys that do NOT contain iron. Also, most non-ferrous metals are non-magnetic, although there are a few that retain the magnetic properties. Some of the most common non-ferrous metals include aluminum, tin, copper, zinc, lead, and brass - an alloy of copper and zinc. Auto cores are core automobile parts. These parts consist of batteries, starters, transmissions, alternators, catalytic converters and motors.
