The story of Carcone's began many years ago when a young immigrant Tony was working in a mechanical shop. One day, he was asked to drive over to a recycling facility to pick up auto parts that were needed for a job, it was then and there that he had an epiphany. 17 years later on May 15th 1978 Tony was able to turn his dream into reality. With nothing more than 3 employees, 10 acres of land , a Quonset hut, a wooden shed and a genuine love for the industry, Tony set upon building a future for himself and his family.
Fast track 40 years later, the dream has not changed however the roles have. Today Carcone's Auto Recycling in Aurora is a second generation owned and operated company which employees 51 people and has two divisions. In 1996 Carcone's expanded there recycling business to include Wheel refinishing. Similar to the initial start-up the wheel division started small with 1 employee and a space consisting of 800 square feet. Today the wheel refinishing division has 9 full time staff members and operates in its own 8500 square foot facility.
