Best Recycling was founded in 1994 by it’s current owner and President Ken Bell. Mr. Bell has over 25 years of experience in the waste management field. He received his degree at Colorado State University and shortly thereafter joined the EPA for two years. After leaving the EPA he was employed with a hazardous waste disposal company, an analytical laboratory company and served as Vice President for a hazardous waste incineration firm. In 1989 Mr. Bell joined the solid waste industry as the siting and development director for Recomp Inc. a solid waste disposal and composting firm based in Denver, CO. After successfully acquiring and permitting a solid waste disposal and composting operation in Bellingham, WA., Mr. Bell moved to Washington state to be the liaison between local governments, the corporation and regulators. Mr. Bell left Recomp in 1994 and immediately purchased a number of recycling facilities in three states and British Columbia, Canada. Today he serves as Best Recycling’s President and continues to develop projects for his clients.
The plant provides recycling containers, equipment, and collection service in the Vancouver Lower Mainland area. It also provides a convenient drop-off area for cardboard, newspaper, and mixed paper for waste haulers, recyclers, and the public. BEST Recycling buys back recyclables based on the prevailing fair market value of materials. Other services include:
LOGISTICS:
One of the most difficult parts of any waste operation is the logistical and tactical aspect of getting materials to their appropriate destination. We have been able to move items from as far away as Antarctica and as close as next door. We specialize in making this seamless and trouble free for our clients.
OPERATIONS:
Best Recycling has successfully operated recycling facilities from Vancouver, BC to Charleston West Virginia. We purchased previously failing recycling facilities and turned them into profitable operations.
BROKERAGE:
In this economic environment it has become increasingly important to seek out new markets and aggressively maintain our current outlets for all materials. Best Recycling has developed a strong knowledge of the recycling industry.
We market to companies throughout the U.S. and Canada . Our reach extends to China, the Philippine’s and Mexico. We are constantly expanding our brokerage relationships and searching out new opportunities for our customers and suppliers.
COST REDUCTION:
We have proven to provide cost reduction for customers in many unique ways. Our procedure involves an intensive study of a corporate waste stream from it’s point of generation to it’s final disposition. We will make recommendations that will reduce or eliminate waste. Following that process we will aggressively seek ways to reduce what you pay for disposal and maximize the revenue you receive for recyclables.
