Barr-Tech’s Bio Industrial Park promotes responsible organic material recycling and offers products that support sustainable agricultural practices in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Partnered with local governments and community members, we strive to create green solutions for the recycling of organic materials which relieves pressure on local waste disposal facilities, while creating valuable soil building products. Barr-Tech is committed to responsible organic recycling and is a member of the U.S. Composting Council and its’ Seal of Testing Assurance (STA) program.
Located in rural Lincoln County, our state of the art 40 acre-facility uses technology that is all natural, chemical free and environmentally friendly. The facility is strategically located to cut down on resources previously devoted to transporting materials to the nearest processing center, 140 miles away. Just 22 miles outside of the Spokane metropolitan area, the facility provides Eastern Washington communities with a convenient and safe site for organic resource recovery.
In 2009, founding partners Ted Condon, Jack Gillingham, and Senator Scott Barr had a vision. They knew that valuable resources were being wasted. They also knew that beneficial products could be produced that would enhance and improve the regions ecology. We are proud to offer high quality compost products to the communities of Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Barr-Tech is grateful to its many community partners, which include: The City and County of Spokane, Whitworth University, Lincoln County, the Land-Use and Public Works Departments, the Lincoln County Economic Development Council, Odessa PDA and the Towns of Sprague, Davenport, Odessa and Reardan. Barr-Tech is also a proud member of the U.S. Composting Council and its’ Seal of Testing Assurance program (STA).
