A & R Recycling Company, Inc, founded in 1983, is a privately-owned & operated, multi-faceted scrap processing company. A&R buys scrap iron and non-ferrous materials to sell to steel mills and foundries throughout NJ, PA, DE, and MD. The company has expanded its operations to include demolition. Past and present projects have included steel mills, foundries, industrial sites and refineries. A&R's health and safety program is aimed at reducing the risks associated in the work we do, by creating the safest possible working environment for our employees, other workers on the site and the community.  We are committed to providing a safe workplace for all employees and have developed programs for daily safety training, daily maintenance of equipment, and injury prevention practices that involve management, supervisors and employees, along with identifying and eliminating hazards that may develop during our work day. We have also implemented a random Drug and Alcohol Screening Policy using DISA network services and designed in accordance with Department of Transportation and PUC Regulations for CDL drivers.

Training & Certfication

OSHA 10/OSHA 40 Training Certification - All employees will have completed the required 40 hours of hazardous waste training and will have three days of field experience in hazardous waste work under the direct supervision of a trained, experience supervisor.

OSHA 7600 Disaster Site Certification - Select employees will have completed the required 30 hours of hazardous waste training and will have three days of field experience in hazardous waste work under the direct supervision of a trained, experience supervisor.

Delaware Valley Safety Certification – All employees assigned to the site will complete a site-specific training session of sufficient duration to ensure that they are capable of and familiar with the use and care of respirators and protective equipment, site control, decontamination, emergency procedures and security procedures required for each site.
