Hazardous Drum Disposal

Hazardous wastes are materials which are regulated under RCRA (Resource Conservation Recovery Act). These are materials which cannot be disposed of through regular trash companies and must be managed according to Federal EPA guidelines.With over 20 years of experience finding the most economical outlet for your drummed wastes, Aegis will ensure that your waste materials are properly classified and disposed of at the facility best suited to handle your particular waste stream.We have outlets utilizing all of the disposal technologies from Waste Water Treatment and Fuels Blending to Sub-Title C&D Landfill and Incineration. Bulk Waste Disposal

Aegis Resource Management can handle the transportation and disposal of all of your bulk waste streams, both Hazardous and Non-Hazardous. Whether you need a full tanker (5500 gallons) or a short tanker (3500 gallons) we have transportation and disposal options. We can help with everything from your waste waters going for water treatment to solvents going for fuels blending to bulk soils going for stabilization or direct landfill.

Waste Disposal Services

Aegis Resource Management manages the segregation, manifesting and disposal of all types of chemical wastes and manufacturing bi-products. Basically, anything that you can’t or prefer not to put into the regular trash, we can remove and dispose of safely and in a cost effective manner.
At Aegis Resource Management, our team has over 20 years of experience in properly classifying and finding the most efficient and economical disposal options for all types of waste materials. We can manage everything from the most dangerous reactive chemicals and gasses to oils and other non-hazardous wastes. Basically, if you can’t put it into the trash we can safely handle it.


We approach your waste disposal needs using a geo-centric strategy where we find the closest facilities to process your materials in the most environmentally friendly manner. This strategy reduces your transportation expenses as well as your liability while the material is in transport. In addition to utilizing local facilities, we have the experience to package your materials in the most efficient manner based on the volume and frequency of generation. Our field crews typically do jobs in a fraction of the time as other waste companies simply because we have the experience and are not using your site for “on the job training”
We manage both large and small scale waste generators from small manufacturers to large facilities with departments and personnel in place to manage waste streams and processes. Unknown Wastes

Aegis Resource Management recognizes the difference between an “unknown” waste and an I am not “100% sure” waste. With our years of experience, we are typically able to identify or classify a material so it can be properly packaged and disposed of at a fraction of the price other companies charge for “unknowns”When you run into containers that are not properly labeled or potentially “unknown” Aegis Resource Management can perform field screenings and determine enough about the material in question to safely identify and classify the material.
The way to identify an “unknown” waste is not doing analytical. Analytical can determine what you do NOT have, not what you DO have. Before you pay $1,200.00 or more to find out what you do not have PLEASE give us a call. “Unknowns” can be complicated and present unique hazards BUT it should not be a scary experience to clean out your facility.

Industrial Services

Aegis Resource Management’s Industrial Services Group does not specialize in any one specific area, but provides a wide range of facility maintenance services. When you have a project that is outside of your routine maintenance, or you are not comfortable having your people do it, Aegis Resource Management can help.Below are some examples of some of the unique projects we have completed. Our capabilities are not limited to what you see here but this list will give you an idea of the variety of services we can provide.

• Aegis Resource Management’s first river clean-up project was to find and retrieve chemical containers (2 ton cylinders, totes and drums) that were washed out of a chemical manufacturer and into a local waterway. We found and recovered over 200 containers, from Middletown PA all the way down to the mouth of the Potomac River! Needless to say, there is no manual that tells you how to remove a 2000 LB cylinder that is stuck 20 feet up a tree in the middle of a river island!
• Aegis Resource Management uses its river fleet to clean brush and debris from the dams and water intake areas of utility plants on the river, in addition to being a resource in the event of a river spill.
• We have built both large and small scale custom Oil Water Separator systems.
• Aegis Resource Management designed and built a custom perchloroethylene vapor extraction system to remove gas vapors from a strip mall that found itself with an air quality problem.
• We have cleaned both large and small sediment collection ponds. Prior to our involvement it was taking our client 10 days to do a single pond. We utilized a unique approach using farm equipment instead of trying to “dry and ship” the material. By changing the approach, we were able to do 3 ponds in less time than it took the former service provider to do 1…and we were able to reduce the overall cost of the project by 30%!
• Aegis Resource Management worked with a large soap manufacturer who was relocating, to pack and ship all of their waste materials as well as to clean the process areas prior to sale. This plant had been in service for almost 100 years and had everything from oils and glycols to tanks of oleum. We cleaned and prepared over 200 ASTs ranging from 500 gallons to 50,000 gallons so that the facility could be dismantled and torn down.
  We have even painted a 50,000-gallon fuel oil tank!

Training Services

Aegis recognizes that no two facilities are the same, so our training programs are customized to meet each client’s unique goals and needs. Our classes are designed to ensure that your training goes beyond just meeting state and federal regulations. We will cover all topics that are mandated but want to focus on the areas that are of particular interest and importance to the work you do. The goal is to make sure our classes are interesting and informative so people do not dread “training week”. Prior to designing a class, we like to visit the site and learn about your facility to understand your areas of concern and make sure the training addresses your safety issues.
