Advanced Magnesium Alloys Corporation (AMACOR) is the largest magnesium recycling facility in the world. We are serving our customers in the die casting and aluminum industries with top quality magnesium scrap recycling and alloy ingot supply. The annual production capacity of the plant is approximately 50,000 MT. The AMACOR plant is strategically located in Anderson, Indiana, U.S.A., close to the heart of the die casting industry in North America. The plant is highly automated and utilizes a unique process that incorporates a number of features:
AMACOR supplies high quality ASTM B93 magnesium alloys to the die casting industry and other magnesium based alloys to the aluminum, canstock and billet industries. All three major magnesium die casting alloys (AM50A, AM60B and AZ91D) are produced according to ASTM standards. The plant is ISO 9001:2008 certified and an approved supplier to GM, Chrysler, Ford and transplant automotive producers.
AMACOR’s proprietary technology produces a range of superior magnesium alloys for customers in the die casting and aluminum market segments. Critical die casting applications are consistently assured by the highest level of cleanliness, corrosion resistance and mechanical properties from AMACOR’s products. Aluminum producers choose AMACOR’s magnesium for highly sensitive applications such as can stock.Extensive testing by automakers has shown that AMACOR’s alloys exceed the quality levels of all other producers’ products tested.
