About Yard

Addyman’s recycling is a family run business which was established in 1994 by Mr Roy Addyman and his son Carl. The business started life as a vehicle recycling yard and they quickly established themselves as one of the leading companies in the area. In 2004 Roy retired and passed the reins over to Carl to manage the company, during this time the industry was in transition, as new laws came into place for vehicle recycling. As a result Carl invested in the latest de-pollution equipment and suitable buildings to ensure the business could continue trading.

Always looking to expand Carl and his wife Zoe decided to buy a skip truck to deal with the different types of scrap metals they handled on site. With just one truck and 5 skips in stock, local builders and other customers soon began asking if we could do ad hoc jobs for them. This soon escalated over the years and it wasn’t long before Skips became the main service of Addyman’s. The natural progression from here was to launch a waste transfer station, which allowed the company to sort and separate waste on site and recycle as much material as possible.
