Our mission is to provide timely solutions to your electronic waste disposal problems using the latest in recycling technologies. Ace is committed to the highest level of customer service, value and regard for using environmentally sound management practices in the handling of your surplus electronic equipment and products (E waste).
Electronic equipment is used everyday, from televisions and computers to personal audio systems and cell phones. Many of the components in these electronic items contain hazardous materials such as lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic. While in use, these hazardous materials pose no problem, but when improperly discarded they represent an environmental threat.
Ace can provide you with varying degrees of assistance in managing your electronics, from simply receiving your shipments to a full turnkey program. If required, we have sufficient staff and equipment to come to your facility for the collection and packaging of your spent electronics.
Using our transportation or yours, the equipment will be delivered to our facility where it will be inventoried, evaluated, and managed in an economical and environmentally sound manner.
Ace does not landfill or incinerate electronic equipment nor do we export intact non working equipment to developing non O.E.C.D. countries. Processing of E-waste can involve any and all of the following processes:
Demanufacturing - When items are obsolete or repairs are unreasonable, Ace will demanufacture the equipment into various commodity groups for recycling.
Destruction - At the customers request, equipment is rendered unuseable for its intended purpose and none of the units, whole or in part, are reused or resold. A "Certificate of Destruction" can be issued.
Refurbished, Reuse or Resale - In the course of demanufacturing, some components have reuse/resale values which are reflected in our pricing schedules and based on experience. Some equipment lends itself to refurbishment by using good parts from other units, resulting in a useable piece of equipment.
Asset Management - In some cases a business will have equipment that is working and of fairly current technology. This surplus equipment will be tested and can be marketed for sale under a profit sharing agreement.
Data Security - To insure data security all hard drives will be either data wiped using the Department of Defense standard three pass process 5220.22.M or they will be physically destroyed.
Hazardous Components - When electronic items contain hazardous components, Ace segregates these items into their proper waste management category and dispose of them in accordance with regulatory requirements.
