ABS Metal Recycling was established in 2006 by Founder and CEO Shaun Barnes in Austin, TX . It started simply as a side business, but quickly transformed from a one-man scrap collecting hobby into a multi-location metal recycling business. In 2012 ABS opened it's second location in Magnolia, Texas—further expanding Shaun's dream of providing high-quality metal recycling. ABS purchases scrap from a wide variety of sources, including individuals, companies, and municipalities. With such a wide variety of sources ABS is able to acquire a large amount of material. Last year alone ABS purchased 30 million pounds of scrap metal. Shaun’s passion along with that of his employees ensures the scrap metal community will receive the best service possible.
