City of Margate Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Disposal Events

Electronics equipment has become an integral part of our everyday lives. However, when your electronics equipment has reached the end of its useful life it should not be placed with your regular garbage for collection but instead recycled to prevent any harmful metals or chemicals they may contain from entering the environment. Margate residents have a number of free options when it comes to places to bring their unwanted / end of life electronics equipment to be recycled.

Location: Oriole Park, 7055 NW 1st Street.

April 8, 2023, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Secure Document Shredding (up to 3 standard size paper boxes) will be available during these events.  The aforementioned dates are subject to change.

To expedite the process and maintain consistent flow of traffic, the following guidelines are in place during drop off:

• Attendees are not to exit their vehicles.
• All items to be disposed/shred must be located in the trunk, hatch or bed of the vehicle (no items will be removed from the cabin of a vehicle).
