worldsteel Declared 14th Steelie Awards Shortlist

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The World Steel Association (worldsteel) announced the shortlist of 14^th Steelie Awards. The final winners will be announced on Monday, 16^th October, 2023.

The six shortlisted companies in “Excellence in low carbon steel production” category are Aço Verde do Brasil (AVB), ArcelorMittal, China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited, Emirates Steel Arkan, HBIS Group Co., Ltd. and POSCO Holdings.

The winner of the “Innovation of the year” category will be selected from among Ansteel Group Corporation Limited, China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited, JFE Steel Corporation, United States Steel Corporation and voestalpine AG.

The shortlist for “Excellence in sustainability” award comprises of China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited, JSW Steel Limited, Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC), POSCO Holdings, Ternium and Tenaris.

The shortlisted entries for “Excellence in Life Cycle Assessment” category include those from Baotou Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd, China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited, China Steel Corporation (CSC), CITIC PACIFIC Special Steel Group Co., Ltd, JSW Steel Limited and POSCO Holdings.

The winner of the “Excellence in education and training” award will be decided from among entries by China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited, Gerdau S.A., JFE Steel Corporation, JSW Steel Limited, POSCO Holdings, Tata Steel and Ternium.

The shortlist for “Excellence in communications programmes” comprises of ArcelorMittal, Gerdau S.A, JSW Steel Limited, POSCO Holdings, Tata Steel, Tenaris and U.S. Steel.
