Waste Advantage 2025 Virtual Safety Summit Hits Over 700 Registrants

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): Waste Advantage is proud to announce that the number of registrants for its upcoming March 20th Virual Safety Summit has hit over 700. “With safety being one of the primary concerns in the waste and recycling industry, we are very pleased that so many will be joining us at this event on Thursday to listen to real-world experiences and solutions to this problem,” says Angelina Ruiz, Publisher of Waste Advantage Magazine. “With so many great speakers, this will be a fantastic summit. Our hope is that attendees will come away with actionable solutions that they can work towards at their organizations.” The Waste Advantage Safety Summit will run from 1:00 – 3:30 ET on March 20th and is open as a free event to all interested.

All solid waste employers—including national companies, municipalities, major regional companies, and small haulers—face similar safety challenges. However, more of the same is not okay. The goal of this Safety Summit is to go beyond best practices and provide actionable tools and information to reduce improper behavior that contribute to injuries, collisions, and fatalities. Attendees will hear from industry experts about improving safety culture, how to successfully implement technologies and tools that can improve safety performance, as well as addressing fires in facilties and post-collection safety issues.

The Safety Summit will feature not only David Biderman, President of Biderman Consulting, LLC and the former Executive Director and CEO of SWANA, but a roster of great speakers and moderators who are leaders in their field. This includes Shawn Mandel, Waste Connections, Paul Zambrotta, Boro-Wide, Dave Bennett, City of Scottsdale, AZ, Nathan Brainard, Insurance Office of America, Susan Eppes, ANSI, Megan Quinn, Waste Dive, Mark Regan, SmarTruck HD, Jessica Cearfoss, RouteSmart Technologies, Christien Ducker, SMS360, Michael Hughes, Casella, Chris Ball, WM, Ryan Fogelman, Fire Rover, Raghav Mecheri, BinIt, Clay Layne and Mitch Cowart, Caterpillar, and Stefan De Wilde and Jerry Sjogren, ReMA.

Says Ruiz, “We encourage everyone to register and listen to the upcoming summit. Even if you are only able to come into part of the event to hear a specific group of speakers, that’s great. It is still taking the steps forward to be proactive and address this important issue. Be sure to check out our agenda and register today.”
